Regional Cooperative Computerisation Seminar - Embu
The conference was held in Philadephia Hotel on 31/03/2010, which is located about three kilometers from Embu town. The theme of the seminar was “Management Modernization Programme for Agricultural Coops 2010”. It was a Central Province and Mount Kenya Regional Seminar which was one of the two regional seminars planned in the country. The next one will be in Eldoret. CoopWorks License
We would like to announce that the CoopWorks Farmers Association Management System is available as a download from our websites free of charge. CoopWorks has been developed by software engineering companies including Flametree, thanks to subsidies made available by sponsors. We believe no-one should charge farmers for CoopWorks licenses. read more
Flametree believes it is not necessary for any farmers cooperative society to pay for license fees of CoopWorks, nor does it believe that any company should charge license fees for CoopWorks to anyone. There are costs associated with using CoopWorks. These costs include:
training, backstopping and these costs will be charged by your Service Provider. CoopWorks adds-on drivers is a set of additional software drivers for digital weighing scales and for electronic member cards.
These drivers are an external part of CoopWorks and Flametree will provide these drivers as CoopWorks adds-on.
 
CoopWorks launch with Co-op Bank

Flametree completed the developement of the coffee farmers society version of CoopWorks; CoopWorks for dairy was further improved. On 16/12/2009 these systems were launched with partners Co-operative Bank of Kenya, Co-operative College of Kenya; Kenya National Federation of Co-operatives and Kenya Coffee Producers Association. Co-operative Bank of Kenya explained its equipment leasing scheme that helps farmer co-ops invest in their automation. Flametree introduced the digital weighing scale to automate the process of intake of coffee and milk at the co-operatives collection stations.
